Assam Seniors Badminton Club has been granting club membership for the year 2024-25

  1. FOUNDER MEMBERS: A founder member will be offered free life membership.
  2. LIFE MEMBERS: Any individual who shall pay such sum as decided by the Executive Committee from time to time and in such manner, shall be treated as Life Member of the Association.
  3. GENERAL MEMBERS: Persons paying Annual Subscription fee of such sum as decided by the Executive Committee from time to time shall be admitted as General Member.
  4. ELITE MEMBERS: An international player will be provided free life membership subject to the approval of Executive Committee.

Code of Conduct/Ethical Codes to be followed by each member of Assam Seniors Badminton Club:

  1. Respect for Others: Treat all members, including women players, opponents, officials, and spectators, with respect and courtesy, both on and off the court.
  2. Fair Play: Play fairly, following the rules of badminton. Avoid cheating, gamesmanship, and any form of dishonesty.
  3. Inclusivity: Embrace diversity and ensure that all members feel welcome, regardless of their gender, background, ability, or experience level.
  4. Safety First: Prioritize the safety of yourself and others by using appropriate equipment, following safety guidelines, and reporting any hazards or injuries immediately.
  5. Good Sportsmanship: Win or lose with grace. Congratulate opponents on their successes and accept victories with humility.
  6. Commitment and Participation: Attend training sessions, matches, and club events regularly. Communicate promptly if unable to attend.
  7. Responsibility and Accountability: Take responsibility for your actions and be accountable for your behavior. Acknowledge and learn from mistakes.
  8. Support and Encouragement: Encourage and support fellow club members, offering constructive feedback and celebrating their achievements.
  9. Avoiding Conflicts of Interest: Avoid situations where personal interests conflict with the club’s interests. Disclose any potential conflicts to club officials.
  10. Environmental Responsibility: Respect the environment by keeping the facilities clean and disposing of waste properly.
  11. Professionalism: Maintain a professional attitude during club activities, representing the club positively in all interactions.
  12. Adherence to Club Policies: Follow the club's rules, regulations, and policies, including those related to behavior, attire, and the use of facilities.
  13. Respect for Women Players: Ensure that women players are treated with equality and respect. Avoid any form of discrimination, bias, or gender-based stereotyping.
  14. Prevention of Sexual Harassment: Foster a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual harassment. This includes unwelcome advances, inappropriate comments, and any other forms of harassment. Report any incidents of harassment to club officials immediately.
  15. Safe and Inclusive Environment: Create a welcoming environment where all members, regardless of gender, feel safe and included. Promote an atmosphere of mutual respect and support.
  16. Adherence to BAI and BWF Regulations: Follow the rules, guidelines, and codes of conduct established by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) and the World Badminton Federation (BWF). Stay informed about updates to these regulations and ensures compliance in all club activities.
  17. Anti-Doping Policy: Maintain a strict anti-doping policy. Prohibit the use of illegal drugs and performance-enhancing substances. Encourage a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Follow the anti-doping policies and rules established by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Cooperate with drug testing procedures and report any violations of this policy to the appropriate authorities. Note: Veteran players who are not debarred from Badminton Association of India and World Badminton Federation can only apply for club membership.
